School is almost back in session, which means it’s time for your kids to swap out their bathing suits for school gear. It also means it’s time to get prepared for the inevitable stains, tears and ill fitting clothing. Don’t worry – we have you covered! STAIN SOLUTIONS

Another school year means another set of stains. Here are some quick solutions for school stains:

• • Markers/Ink – Let’s hope it’s washable marker, in which case you can launder as usual. But if pen ink or non-washable marker gets onto their clothing, you can blot with a paper towel to remove as much of the stain as you can. Then pour rubbing alcohol onto a paper towel and blot – you should see the stain begin to transfer to the towels. Continue to process until the ink is removed before laundering.
  • Grass – Apply a stain treater directly to the stain and rub fabric together. Wash as you normally would. If stain persists, mix 1 part white vinegar with 1 part water, and treat stain with solution. Wash again.
  • Juice – Rinse/soak the garment in cool water to remove as much of the stain as possible. Treat with a small amount of stain treater and rub fabric together. Allow to sit for 10-20 minutes, then wash in the hottest water allowed based on the garment care instructions.
